Where Willow Creek Classic wins
Willow Creek Classic is the original Willow Creek design. It suits a lender that wants every page to move a borrower toward a quote or an application, with palette and reading options that make the site easy to adapt to a brand.
Lenders focused on online applicationsTwo buttons, everywhere
Get a quote and apply online follow the visitor through the site, so intent never has to hunt for the next step.
One page that compares the lot
A single program comparison page answers the "what are my options" email you keep retyping.
Itemized payments on demand
The payment tool names every part of the bill, which keeps the first conversation about fit instead of arithmetic.
Also on the site
Quote and apply paths. Get a quote and apply online buttons carried through the site.
Compare every program. A program comparison page for purchase and refinance loans.
Itemized payments. A monthly payment tool that names every part of the bill.
Palette and reading options. Visitor-selectable color and reading settings.
What a custom mortgage website needs before it takes applications
Collecting applications online brings rules a brochure site never meets. These are the ones to settle before the apply button goes live.
Know when it becomes an application
Under Regulation Z, once you have six pieces of information (name, income, Social Security number, property address, estimated value and loan amount) you have an application.
The Loan Estimate clock
A Loan Estimate is due within three business days of receiving an application, so the form has to land somewhere that is watched.
Protecting what you collect
Mortgage brokers and non-bank lenders are covered by the FTC Safeguards Rule, which requires a written security program for customer information. Social Security numbers belong in a secure portal, not a plain contact form.
A quote path that is not an application
A quote form that does not ask for all six items, for example one without a Social Security number, lets a borrower see a scenario before a formal application starts.

Rebuilding Willow Creek Classic as your site
Willow Creek Classic is judged on applications started, so the rebuild is mostly about where its two buttons lead.
- Apply button pointed at your portal. Apply online opens your existing application portal or a TheBigBot form, whichever you take applications through.
- Quote path kept short. Get a quote asks only what you need for a first scenario, with the full application held for later.
- Comparison page set to your programs. The single program comparison page lists only the purchase and refinance loans you offer.
Pick Willow Creek Classic if
If not, Willow Creek or Harbor Light may suit you better.
- You measure the site on applications started
- You want a quote path and an apply path on every page
- You would rather send one comparison page than five links
