A Surefire alternative you can price without a sales call.

Surefire is ICE’s mortgage marketing engine, and it is strong inside the Encompass world. It also does not publish a price. TheBigBot publishes both plans, charges the same whatever your headcount, and includes the website and the phone.

Short answer

Surefire is marketing automation for mortgage, owned by ICE, with a content library of 1,000+ pieces and a deep Encompass integration. Pricing is quote-only; figures circulating in third-party comparisons put it near $129 per user, per month. TheBigBot publishes $197 or $497 flat with unlimited users and includes the website, campaigns and an AI receptionist.

01 · The short answer

Where the two actually differ.

Surefire sits inside ICE Mortgage Technology, the company that owns Encompass. If your shop already runs Encompass, that proximity is a real advantage — the integration is native rather than bolted on, and milestone marketing fires off loan events without anyone wiring it up.

What it does not do is tell you the price. Surefire is quote-only. Figures in third-party comparisons cluster around $129 per user, per month, but those are second-hand and several were published by competitors, so treat them as a starting point for your own quote rather than a fact. The practical consequence is that you cannot compare it against anything until you have spent an hour on a call.

TheBigBot publishes both plans: $197 or $497 a month, flat, with no seat counting. Usage — AI minutes, SMS, email — is billed separately at published rates. You can work out your bill on this page and never speak to us.

The second difference is scope. Surefire markets to the database you already have. It does not answer your phone and it is not a website. TheBigBot includes both, which matters if the gap in your funnel is upstream of the marketing rather than inside it.

Surefire details cited from publicly available sources as of September 2026. 03 · Credit where it’s due

What Surefire is genuinely good at.

A comparison where the other tool wins nothing convinces nobody.

📚

A genuinely large content library

Over a thousand prebuilt marketing pieces is more finished creative than we ship, and for a team without a marketer that is worth real money

Native Encompass integration

Surefire and Encompass are the same company. If you live in Encompass, nothing bolted on from outside will match that

Milestone marketing that just works

Campaigns firing off loan status changes is the thing Surefire has been refining longest, and it shows

04 · Which one is right for you

Be honest about what you need.

We would rather you pick the right tool than churn in month three.

Stay with Surefire if

It is already the right shape for you.

  • You already run Encompass and want the integration to be native rather than mapped.
  • You want a large library of finished marketing creative rather than content produced for you.
  • You have a marketing team to operate it, and enterprise procurement is not an obstacle.
  • A quote-only price is not a problem for how your organisation buys software.
Choose TheBigBot if

The CRM is not the thing you are missing.

  • You want to know the price before you spend an hour on a demo call.
  • Your headcount is growing and you do not want the bill growing with it.
  • Calls go unanswered after 5pm and no amount of marketing automation fixes that.
  • You are paying separately for a website, a CRM and an answering service.

06 · Questions people actually ask

Questions from teams comparing the two.

What does Surefire CRM cost?
+
Surefire does not publish pricing — it is quote-only through ICE Mortgage Technology. Third-party comparisons put it near $129 per user, per month, but those figures are second-hand and some were published by competitors. Get your own quote and compare it against our published $197 or $497.
Is Surefire the same company as Encompass?
+
Effectively yes. Surefire is part of ICE Mortgage Technology, which owns Encompass. That is why the integration between them is deeper than anything a third party can offer, and it is the strongest reason to choose Surefire.
Does Surefire answer the phone?
+
No. Surefire is marketing automation — it emails, texts and mails your database around loan milestones. Answering inbound calls is a separate problem and a separate purchase. TheBigBot includes an AI receptionist that answers 24/7 and books into your calendar.
Do you have a content library like Surefire’s?
+
Not in the same form. Surefire ships 1,000+ prebuilt pieces you customise. On our Pro plan we write and publish content under your brand every week instead. Theirs is a bigger library; ours is less work. Which is better depends on whether you have someone to operate a library.
Can I use TheBigBot with Encompass?
+
Yes. We integrate with Encompass, Arive and LendingPad, plus Zapier and Make for anything else. Ask us on the demo whether the specific fields you rely on are covered, because a named integration and the fields you actually need are not always the same thing.
Why is your pricing published when theirs is not?
+
Because a price you cannot see is a price you cannot compare, and we would rather lose the deals we are wrong for early than discover it in month three. Both plans, the setup fee and the per-minute usage rates are all on the site.
